pericardium



Pericardium

definition: pericardium is fibro-serous sac which surrounds the heart andthe adjacent parts of its great vessels.

types: there are two types of sinuses which are fibrous pericardium and serous perocardium.

fibrous pericardium

def: it is a conical bag of fibrous tissue which enclose the heart and the lower parts of its great vessels.

relation and attachments: important for medical students

function: prevent over distention of the heart

serous pericardium

def: it is closed serous sac which encloses the heart deep to the fibrous pericardium.

layers:
i. visceral layer...inner layer
ii.parietal layer...outer layer
*between both layers there is a small cavity called the pericardial cavity which contains minimal serous fluids.


haha..the point i right it here is..one day..we all we have someone who is much or less like the pericardium..not just protect our heart..but our soul..

i have all of them so far..which are my most precious beloved friends whom i mention before

i hope we also will have a better future infront of us together^~^..
